Meet Talos Farris

A Lifetime of Service.
A Commitment to Results.

Talos Farris isn’t simply running for office, he is stepping forward after a lifetime of service to our country, his fellow Americans, and his neighbors here in Fall River.A Veteran and the current Director of Veterans Services for the City of Fall River, Talos understands what it means to lead under pressure and deliver when it matters most. Every day, he works directly with veterans, seniors, and working families navigating housing instability, securing earned benefits, and coordinating with public safety to strengthen neighborhoods. He sees firsthand how decisions made on Beacon Hill affect real lives here at home and how often progress fails to match the urgency our families feel.Talos believes leadership isn’t about rhetoric or routine, it’s about steady judgment, preparation, and measurable results. For too many years, families in the 7th Bristol District have felt the pressure of rising costs, housing instability, and economic strain. These challenges did not emerge overnight, and they won’t be solved by more of the same.As Fall River enters a period of major transformation, including waterfront redevelopment and long-term infrastructure investment. This moment demands authentic, engaged representation. Growth should benefit the people who already live and work here. Beacon Hill must not overlook the 7th Bristol District.

"Our community deserves measurable progress. I’m running to provide the engaged leadership our district deserves, focused on real results, not empty language.” — Talos Farris

As State Representative, Talos will fight for:

  • Strengthening public safety while maintaining transparency and community trust

  • Making Massachusetts affordable by lowering taxes and changing the energy policies to lower costs

  • Addressing long-standing housing pressures with sustainable, local solutions

  • Supporting veterans, seniors, and working families

  • Advancing economic policies that empower small businesses and local job growth

Talos believes you can demand better performance from government without abandoning civility. You can be firm in your principles while respectful in your leadership. The 7th Bristol District deserves representation that shows up, listens carefully, and delivers outcomes families can see and feel.Talos Farris is ready to serve.

ISSUES

Talos Farris is running to deliver steady leadership and measurable results for the families, workers, veterans, and seniors who call the 7th Bristol District home. His focus is simple: policies that work in the real world and reflect the realities facing our community.Restoring Affordability
The cost of living in Massachusetts has been rising for years, and families in our district feel it every day. From housing to energy to everyday expenses, working families deserve relief that is practical, responsible, and sustainable.
Talos will advocate for responsible tax policy, smarter energy decisions, and a disciplined approach to state spending, ensuring that government policies support upward mobility rather than making it harder for families to get ahead.Affordability is not a short-term headline. It requires long-term commitment and measurable outcomes.Strengthening Public Safety
Safe neighborhoods are the foundation of strong communities. Talos supports policies that strengthen public safety while ensuring our first responders have the right personnel, equipment, and infrastructure to do their jobs effectively and safely.
Law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency responders should not be asked to do more with less. Supporting them means investing in modern training, appropriate staffing levels, updated technology, and the facilities needed to respond quickly and professionally. At the same time, Talos believes transparency and community trust are essential to healthy neighborhoods. Public safety and civil rights are not competing values, They are both necessary to maintain confidence in the systems that protect us.Strong communities require preparedness, professionalism, and responsible oversight.Sustainable Housing Solutions
Housing pressures did not appear overnight, and they will not be solved with short-term fixes. As Fall River enters a period of major transformation, including waterfront redevelopment and long-term infrastructure investment. Growth must work for the people who already live here.
Talos will pursue housing solutions tied to local income realities and long-term stability, protecting neighborhoods while ensuring families are not priced out of their own community.Development should strengthen the district, not leave long-standing residents behind.Empowering Small Business
Small businesses drive opportunity and stability in the 7th Bristol District. Talos will champion economic policies that reduce unnecessary barriers, encourage local entrepreneurship, and support job growth right here at home.
Economic growth should strengthen neighborhoods, create pathways for advancement, and ensure that prosperity is shared across the district.Honoring Veterans & Seniors
Through his leadership in Veterans Services, Talos has seen firsthand the challenges veterans and seniors face navigating housing, healthcare, and benefits systems. He understands how state-level decisions directly affect their quality of life.
He will be a consistent and strong advocate to ensure those who have contributed so much to our community receive the support, respect, and access to benefits they’ve earned.
